Just an enthusiast and polymath whose interests roll over into space exploration and science. Feel pretty strongly that science and technology needs to be accessible to all; and I say that as a geek who grew up typing BASIC programs from the back of PC Magazine.
I am about to finish a MS in instructional design, and produce audio and video work professionally and through my independent production firm. I have many bylines as a freelance writer; as a tech writer and web editor I've worked with all kinds of SMEs. I'm most interested in ways that we can promote space history, and also reach out to ordinary people who may not yet understand why space exploration is so critical. Among my interests are the history of women in aviation and space (particularly the US, Russia and Britain); the Mercury, Gemini and Apollo programs; the private space industry; and how space interacts with popular culture. If you'd be interested in developing documentaries about space, particularly space history, making them freely available on platforms like YouTube, come talk to me! |

Did you know Space Tweep Society now has a podcast? Well we do!
Space Tweeps @thenasaman, @genejm29 and @MarkRatterman recorded our inaugural episode Sunday: Single Human Theory & Defying Gravity Welcome to our first podcast! An open exchange of ideas and opinions about current events in space exploration, space science and policy. As an introduction we tell you what were all about, what we are not and kick around two topics timely topics in space flight news. Topic One: A possible plan to get humans to the Martian surface made a bit of a splash last week because of it’s unorthodox nature. If you could would you go to Mars alone to explore it’s secrets knowing you will never return back to Earth? That was the idea that made the rounds and our panel of space enthusiasts make their stand on this issue. |

Hi Fellow Space Tweeps!
Just wanted to keep you all informed on the progress of the proposed STS Podcast. It looks like we have a core team of talented folks who are willing to help bring the cast into reality. Currently we are testing the tools we'll need to communicate with each other over the Internet and record the show. The format for the show will be a 30 minute round-table style discussion with a moderator and 2 to 3 members of the panel discussing the space related headlines of the week. There's always room for more folks who may be interested so let us know if you would want to play guest moderator, panel member, wish to assist in post production or anything else you think may be helpful. This podcast belongs to all of you, so any suggestions you may want to make please do so! |
